WHAT IS A VOICE WRITER?
Voice writers are skilled professional court reporters trained to transcribe spoken words into text using computer-aided transcription software. Voice writers are typically hired for legal proceedings, including depositions, arbitrations, trials, hearings and shareholder meetings. Additionally, they work in educational institutions and venues where translation services are needed for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, such as schools, sports stadiums, televisions studios, high-profile events, and more!
Those interested in a voice writing career or certification can visit the National Verbatim Reporters Association (NVRA) for more information.
